Fr. Stephen Pullis was born and raised in Sterling Heights and attended Utica St. Lawrence Grade School. He was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Sterling Hts. and he graduated from Warren Immaculate Conception Catholic High School in 2002. He entered St. Mary’s College of Ave Maria University (Orchard Lake) and graduated from Madonna University in 2006 with a B.A. in Political Science. Eucharistic Adoration, study of Scripture, and the example of some excellent priests (and excellent lay men and women) led Fr. Steve to consider the priesthood. He entered Sacred Heart Major Seminary in the Fall of 2006. He was ordained a transitional deacon in May of 2010 and served at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Clawson. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Detroit in June of 2011. Fr. Steve has 6 older brothers, 2 older sisters and a younger sister (yep, 10 kids)! He has 9 nieces and nephews. His parents and brothers and sisters all live in the greater-Detroit area. “I love being a priest because I get to bring the saving power and Word of Jesus Christ to all that I meet!” |
