Altar Servers
Scott Alexander: 248.814.6856

If you are a dependable young person in 4th-12th grade, with a desire to serve our Lord, you can fulfill an important need by becoming an Altar Server at weekend liturgies. Servers are scheduled to serve approximately once a month, at the same Mass with an assigned team of servers.

TV Camera Ministry
This ministry of trained volunteers operate the church camera for large masses on the weekends. This ministry is great for teenagers as well as adults. Also, those with video production knowledge are needed for the taping and editing of special masses.

Prayer Candle Ministry
Devotional Prayer Candles are available in church as an extension of personal. The Prayer Candle Ministers serve on a rotating basis and maintain the candles on a bi-weekly basis.

Wedding Coordinators
Volunteer Wedding Coordinators guide couples through rehearsal for the wedding liturgy. Coordinators also set up the Church and support the couple the day of the wedding. Consider spending about four hours one to two times per month during the wedding seasons.

Lectors
Lectors are servants of the Word of God. Through study and preparation, lectors proclaim the sacred scriptures with conviction, providing spiritual nourishment to the Eucharistic assembly. Lectors are assigned to one of the weekend masses and are scheduled about once a month.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Eucharistic Ministers assist in the distribution of Holy Communion. The nature of this ministry is rooted in the love of Christ by serving in a pastoral way to the parish community.

Lector for Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Kim Myers: 248.693.0440, ext. 217

After the presider calls the children forward for the blessing, the Lector leads them to a meeting room for liturgy. The Lector reads the gospel and gives a short homily. The children are led in the Creed and Prayers of the Faithful and then return to Mass during the Offertory. Lectors prepare the liturgy in teams of two. Books and training are provided. If you enjoy sharing the stories of Jesus, this ministry is for you!

Ushers Ministry
Families, and men & women of all ages are encouraged to join this welcoming ministry. Ushers are the first to receive people in a Christ-like fashion which begins by greeting and assisting with seating.
