Children typically prepare for their First Reconciliation during the first half of their Second Grade year and celebrate this sacrament of healing during Advent.  Parents are expected to take their children to Mass, model reconciliation, attend parent meetings, and work on preparation in the home as well as be involved in what is happening in their child’s religion classes.
