Parents interested in enrolling their child or children in St. Joseph Elementary and Middle School should contact the school office at 248.693.6215 to check on available grades for enrollment and to make an appointment for an interview and tour of the school. Kindergarten Placement Tests Students must be 5 years old by December 1 to enter Kindergarten. All new kindergartners that are siblings of currently enrolled students are required to take a Kindergarten Placement test that will be administered in February of 2008. All other prospective kindergartners for the 2008-2009 school year must take the Kindergarten Placement Test in March of 2008. The testing fee is $25. New Student Placement Tests Students entering grades 1-8 are required to take a Grade-Level Placement Test and participate in a family interview. Grade-Level Placement Tests will be scheduled based upon application review and grade level openings.
Applications for Financial Aid Financial assistance may be obtained through the Archdiocesan Stewards for Tomorrow Grant and the St. Joseph Tuition Assistance Fund. Applications for financial assistance will be available in the school office. Families who qualify can also seek financial assistance through PSAS Private School Aid Service. Contact the school office for more information.
Notification of Acceptance: Students will receive notification of acceptance, nonacceptance or probationary acceptance for admission by mail. This will be sent after the student has completed the Placement Test. Important Registration Dates We are currently accepting new students for the 2008-09 school year.
