S.V.D.P. is a non-profit organization that provides clothing, food, vouchers and emergency assistance to those in need. Members of S.V.D.P. are contacted and respond quickly to assist others. A commitment of this group is to make a home visit to each person in need and show Christ’s care to them with dignity and respect.

Groups of individuals assist the needy of Pontiac for a week during the winter months. Dinner and a warm place to sleep are provided to the many homeless in our midst. Numerous volunteers are needed to make this project successful.

Love in the Name of Christ Ministries
Love INC Clearinghouse: Individuals living in the Lake Orion or Oxford Area can contact Love INC if they are in need of food, clothing or just a friend to listen. They are available Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 248.693.4357.

Lay Pastoral Care Ministry

"We are companions on the journey.” This ministry responds to the needs of our parishioners by providing homebound communion, hospital visits and grief support. If you or a loved one are in need of one of these services, please contact the parish office. Just as Christ walked with those he loved, our ministers would like to offer care and comfort to those who struggle.

Habitat for Humanity
This ecumenical effort includes several churches in the Lake Orion/Oxford/Clarkston area who build homes for low-income families. Help is always welcome in the following areas: hospitality, workers, clean-up crews and prayer support.

The Giving Garden

In memory of the story of the loaves and the fishes, the Giving Garden provides fresh food for the needy of the local community. Volunteers are needed in all seasons to prepare the earth, sow the seeds, pull the weeds and reap the harvest. This is truly a labor of love for the Lord.
